This is the privacy policy for musicmatehq.com/privacy. The same words are shown in the app.
This policy describes how MusicMate handles personal information. MusicMate is offered by Frederick Leroy Webb Jr., doing business as MusicMate. Contact us at support@musicmatehq.com.
MusicMate is a band management app for a shared calendar, chat, contacts, songs, setlists, and practice audio.
Account: your email address and your display name. Your password is handled by the sign-in service. We do not see the raw password.
Band content you and your band add: band names, invite codes, membership, calendar events and RSVPs, chat messages, contacts, song details, setlists, notes, charts, and other files.
Audio files you upload for practice or playback, including the file itself and details we store about it, such as a detected tempo or key when you use that tool.
On your phone, the app also keeps a few local notes that are not your profile: which band you last opened, which chat you have already seen, where you stopped in a practice track, and which version of these terms you accepted.
We use this information to run your account, to show a band its own data, to enforce the plan limits (including hiding free-plan chat older than 7 days), and to keep the service reliable and secure.
We use the terms version and the time you accepted so we know you agreed to the current version, and so we can ask again if the text changes.
Supabase hosts the database, the sign-in system, and the private file storage. Supabase processes this information for MusicMate so the app can run. We do not use your band’s content to train public models or to advertise to you.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We share it with the other members of a band you join, because that sharing is the service, and with Supabase as the processor that stores it.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone from harm.
We keep account and band data while the account or the band exists. Free-plan chat older than 7 days is hidden in the app and stays in the database until the band upgrades or the messages are deleted.
Audio files and charts stay until you or your band delete them, or until the band is deleted.
You can delete songs, files, events, and messages in the app, within the rules for your role. An owner can delete a whole band.
To delete your account, open Settings and choose Delete account. That deletes your login and profile. Content you added for a band stays with that band so the other members can keep using it, until the band deletes it. You can also ask by emailing support@musicmatehq.com.
If you are the only owner of a band, transfer ownership to another member or delete that band in the app before you delete your account.
MusicMate is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email support@musicmatehq.com and we will delete it.
If this policy changes in a material way, the app will ask you to accept the new version before you continue. The version date is kept on your profile.
